Course overview

This course is aimed at mature students aged 19+ wanting to progress to university onto courses requiring a GCSE Science as part of the entry requirements.

Course requirements

There is an interview and screening process. GCSE Maths and English or equivalent are desirable and this will be discussed during the interview.

You must be 19+ to undertake this course. Depending upon previous L2 courses undertaken and your current income this course could be free.

What will I do?

You will follow the AQA GCSE Biology specification which is examined by two externally assessed examinations each lasting 1 hour 45 minutes and consisting of questions comprising multiple choice, structured, closed short and open response. Each paper.

Each paper is worth 50% of the overall grade and is graded 1-9 (with 9 being the top grade).
