Course overview

The Early Years Educator Qualification is the must have qualification. It is for all those wanting to work with children from birth to five years of age.
This CACHE Level 3 Certificate will show that you have been trained to the highest standards.

Course requirements

Minimum 4 GCSE’s at grades 9 - 4 (A* - C) or equivalent, including a C or above in Maths and English, or a Level 2 qualification in a relevant subject area. A clear criminal record check by the Disclosure and Barring Service.

What will I do?

The CACHE Certificate in Childcare and Education Level 3 is a two year course, the content of which is divided into four themes:

Assessment of skill competency will take place in the real working environment across three different age ranges 0-5 years old.

What will it give me?

This qualification will provide you with a licence to practice and the status of being an Early years Educator. It will also give you a Level 3 Certificate in Childcare and Education.

Materials needed

A college t-shirt to be worn in work placement, and a CACHE Diploma Level 3 textbook.

What can I do when I finish?

You could progress internally with foundation degree Levels 4 and 5 depending upon achievement, attendance and motivation or progress to university and higher education depending on grades and UCAS points.
You will also have employment opportunities such as working in child and family centres, community, day and hospital nurseries, child minding, nanny work and children’s play supervision for holiday companies. Early Years Educators may also work in primary schools to support the work of teachers, become special needs assistants and playgroup and pre-school leaders.
