The NOCN Diploma in Independent Living Entry 3 has been devised for learners who have significant learning difficulties and disabilities. On the course you will be working at Entry 3 to develop the skills you will need at home and in everyday life.
Set over 3 days a week, where you will have the opportunity to develop your maths and English skills. You will take part in visits and various activities, including outings and development exercises, work experience and work in the classroom. Extensive support will be provided for learners during class, breaks and lunchtimes.
What can I do when I finish?
Once you have built your skills you may progress on to the Level 1 Employability course or a main stream course at the college or into employment.

What will I do?
Whilst at college and studying NOCN Diploma in Independent Living Entry 3 you will learn about employability skills taking into account targets set by your SEN / EHCP plans. You will take part in various tasters such as Hair and beauty, childcare, music, art, catering, IT and sport. Subjects may include Basic Cooking Using Kitchen Equipment Art Appreciation Undertaking, Check that a small animal is healthy Enterprise, Activity Home and Personal Safety Skills for Independent Living

This course will give you foundation for lifelong learning focusing on transferable social, life and employability skills which are essential for living and working in the community.
