The Extended Diploma in Photography L3 is a one year course, which has been designed for a wide range of learners, who are interested in improving their skills and understanding of the art industry.
Minimum 4 GCSE’s at grades 9 - 4 (A* - C) or equivalent, including a C or above in Maths and English, or a Level 2 qualification in a relevant subject area.
What will I do?
Learners will study the Extended Diploma in Photography L3 three days per week. Each learner will produce a portfolio of evidence consisting of a variety of assessed pieces of work, which could include assignments, albums, and various projects throughout the year. You will be using various art materials including paint, pencils etc. You will study contextual influences in Art and Design plus a variety of optional units (these will be discussed at interview depending on your entry criteria).
What will it give me?
Learners will be studying towards a Level 3 National Foundation Diploma in Photography.
DSLR camera, an A3 / A2 art workbook. along with basic stationery items (pens, pencils, lined paper, file, etc.)
What can I do when I finish?
This qualification can help to progress learners onto Higher Education at university or the HND in Art and Design – Photography, at Bishop Auckland College, or into employment.
