Course overview

If you aspire to be a Photographer then the Level 2 Certificate in Photography is the place to start. This course will give you an introduction into the skills required in Photography.

Aimed at supporting progression to Level 3 study, our new creative skills qualifications have been developed in consultation with teachers and employers from the creative industries to ensure they are current, relevant, highly practical and allow for holistic teaching and evidencing of skills.

Course requirements

No formal qualifications needed, just a willingness to attend college and learn, ready for progression in September 2022.

What will I do?

The Photography contains several units which include:

• Skills Development

• Art and Design Project

• Personal Development

• Responding to Creative Brief

What will it give me?

The course will give you an introduction into the skills required to be a successful Photographer. An understanding of the elements of various structures. An improved CV and preparation for further learning at the next level.

Materials needed

You will need your own DSLR camera. Or you may be able to borrow from the college.

What can I do when I finish?

You can progress to the Level 2 Diploma or Level 3 Diploma in Photography. Depending upon your existing skills and in consultation with your class tutor.
