The Level 2 Award in Instructing Kettlebell Training Sessions aims to provide continuous professional development for those with existing fitness qualifications. This qualification is recognised as CPD by the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs). Successful completion of this qualification will enhance your employability within the sport and active leisure industry. You will be equipped to run kettlebell training sessions and have the skills and knowledge to integrate kettlebells into your resistance classes/programmes.
The Level 2 Award in Instructing Kettlebell Training Sessions has been specifically designed to develop your practical skills to plan, prepare, instruct and reflect upon kettlebell training sessions. Through this qualification you will develop an understanding of the history, benefits and health and safety considerations when training with kettlebells. You will also explore the integration of kettlebells in other resistance classes.
Pre-requisite qualifications needed for progression onto this qualification are:
Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing (Gym-Based Exercise).
You will be invited to attend an interview and screening process where your qualifications, experience and goals will be discussed.
You will need sportswear and suitable footwear for sports related activity.
What can I do when I finish?
On completion of this qualification you may choose to undertake further study. Qualifications you could progress onto include:
• Level 2 Award in Instructing Studio Cycling Sessions
• Level 2 Award in Instructing Circuit Training Sessions
• Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training
• Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage Therapy

The structure of the qualification is comprised of two units which are both mandatory:
Planning kettlebell training sessions
Instructing kettlebell training sessions
As part of this qualification you are required to produce a portfolio of evidence. A portfolio will confirm the knowledge, understanding and skills that you have learnt. Your assessor will provide guidance on how to prepare the portfolio of evidence and how to show practical achievement via an assessed observation along with a demonstration of the knowledge required to successfully complete this qualification.
What will it give me?
An improved CV including practical experience and a Level 2 Award in Instructing Kettlebell Training Sessions.
