Death of Queen Elizabeth II

It is with deep sadness that we hear this evening about the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

The entire Bishop Auckland College community will remember the extraordinary lifetime of service given by Her Majesty, who celebrated her Platinum Jubilee just seven months ago.

On behalf of our staff, students and members of the College Corporation, I extend our deepest condolences to King Charles and all other members of the Royal Family and we wish them strength during this very sad period.

The College will hold an informal event during the period of national mourning for staff and students to pay their own tribute to Queen Elizabeth and we will be opening a book of condolence.

We will keep all students and parents/carers informed about any changes to timetables and planned events in the days ahead.
