Macmillan Cancer Support – Worlds Biggest Coffee Morning

Hairdressing, beauty therapy and hospitality and catering students and staff made and donated cakes, pies, biscuits, deserts and sandwiches. They were supported by school links pupils from Hummersknott school in Darlington who are all working towards their hospitality and catering qualification at the college.

Geraldine Metcalf, head of beauty therapy, hairdressing and hospitality and catering said: “All of the pupils and students did an amazing job, I was so proud! This year our Macmillan Coffee morning took place in the college’s Ambition restaurant and over 150 staff, students and visitors were met, greeted and served by our trainee chefs to raise funds for the cancer trust. In total we raised £235 for this important charity”.
