Easter afternoon tea boxes

Bishop Auckland College Catering students support local Veterans

Today, our College catering learners, with their tutor Richard Vart, Val and Kayleigh, produced over 2 dozen Easter afternoon tea boxes for the Veterans who are still isolating or finding it difficult to socialise.

The volunteers from SSAFA collected them and delivered, this was organised by Sharron Hogarth, who coordinated this with Ruth Wright and Mike Donne. A small gesture of good will makes a huge difference to our local society and it also develops the learners’ community spirit.
