Bishop Auckland College is seeking to recruit a 1.0 Sport Teacher who will be responsible for the effective and efficient teaching and coordination of courses within the relevant curriculum area.

The role involves delivering core PE lessons to a range of 14-16 year old students in an alternative provision setting. Students can also choose to follow a vocational qualification in sport and you will be responsible for the planning, effective teaching and delivering of all aspects of the qualification for students choosing this pathway.

The successful candidate will be required to possess certificate in education (or willing to work towards within 2 years) and a minimum of a level 3 qualification in a relevant subject. It is desirable that the candidate will also possess IT qualification, Level 2 Equality & Diversity, Degree, Level 3 Assessors Certificate, Level 4 Internal Quality Assurance/Internal Verification and QTLS.
Applicants will also have recent experience of teaching on 14-16 provision.
This role will include responsibilities within safeguarding and the postholder will be engaging in regulated activity.
