This position is to be based within the Durham Gateway area of the College, which is a specialist department working with pre-16 students who are studying an alternative provision route. Bishop Auckland College is seeking to recruit a Casual 14-16 Administrator who will be responsible for providing centralised effective administrative support to Durham Gateway. The successful candidate will have a level 3 qualification in Business Administration or relevant subject, Safeguarding Level 1 (to be achieved within 6 weeks) and Level 2 qualifications in Literacy and Numeracy (or be willing to work towards within 2 years). Applicants will also have experience of using specialist schools MIS; at least 2 years administrative experience in a secondary/specialist school; a background of effective dealings with multi agency teams relating to social care and education; and background knowledge of Local Authority processes and procedures relating to attendance.
