Qualification that you’ll work towards:
Brickwork – Level 2
The apprentice will work alongside qualified and experienced tradesmen, and as your skills and experience develop you will work on the construction of new buildings for commercial and private clients helping on the footings and suspended beam floors. Wall building and possible block work will take place along with other general building tasks.
You will be learning all the Health and Safety requirements of the role, as well as basic tasks to allow you to support your team. This role will allow you to gain lots of practical skills and experience to develop your career and gain your apprenticeship qualification. The job role will be to learn all aspect of the building trade with the opportunity to move on to level 3.
You will be learning to build solid, cavity and half brick walls. You will be working on a new build site so you must follow instruction when training and be responsible for logging your 20% off the job training weekly. You must be responsible for your own health and safety and the health and safety of others, by following site regulations. You are expected to attend college one day per week and complete all course work in a timely manner.
