NCFE Sub Diploma in Photography L3

Overview

This course is designed for people who are interested in a career in photography and related disciplines and you will study a range of units including; studio photography, digital and traditional practice, location photography, portrait and fashion photography. Students will discover the magic of photography via a series of assignments specifically written to broaden their outlook. Students can also take advantage of our excellent facilities including a dark room exhibition studio and enterprise suite with large format printing equipment.

Course requirements

Four or more GCSEs at C or above including Maths and English. Portfolio of work. An interview and short assessment will assess suitability and interest.

What will I do?

The course will give you the opportunity to develop your own skills further allowing you to enhance your creative ability and specialise in particular areas of study. Various exciting briefs will be set to challenge and develop your photography and a final major project will help you define yourself as a professional photographer.

What will it give me?

The course will give you a lot of photographic experience and provide you with enough technical ability to produce a high standard portfolio and photographs for exhibition at the end of the course. Working alongside like minded individuals in a friendly, creative environment with an experienced professional photographer always onhand for support and advice where necessary.

Materials needed

Own DSLR camera and a strong willingness to learn.

What can I do when I finish?

There are a wide variety of jobs in the photographic industry and this qualification will give you the knowledge both creatively and practically, to apply at the highest level and have a top quality portfolio of work to go.
