Course overview

This course has been devised as an a next step to the to the art Area  

You will need to have had some art experience at school or at external venues. You will need to have a passion about Art.


Course requirements


What will I do?

As part of the level 2 you will undertake 3 mandatory units;

  • Investigate sources of ideas in art and design
  • Explore and use art and design materials, techniques and visual language
  • Produce final art and design work

Plus 2 other units

 

As well as the practical portfolio there is written assignments and tasks to complete.

The course is 3 days (extra days and evenings around the gallery times) where you will be studying your main qualification, Maths and English at GCSE level (only if you do not have an A-C or 4-9 Grade).

What can I do when I finish?

If you have successful complete this course with good grades and attendance you will be interviewed for the BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Art
