Course overview

The units in the NOCN Certificate in IT Level 1 aims to equip individuals with the IT user skills needed for full participation in employment. The qualification recognises the employers needs for ICT qualifications that reflect real world skills and challenges of the workplace environment.

Course requirements

There are no course requirements for this course. You will receive an interview from a member of the ICT Team. Please ensure you bring a minimum of a 20% deposit when you come to enrol.

What will I do?

In order to achieve the NOCN Level 2 Certificate in IT User Skills (ITQ), you must successfully complete a minimum of 16 credits. This must include the mandatory unit at Level 2, Improving Productivity Using IT which is 4 credits, a minimum of 12 credits can then be taken from the optional units (6 of these credits must be at Level 2). These could include: Using the Internet, IT Security, Using Email, Presentation Software and Word Processing Software.

What will it give me?

It will give you a recognised IT qualification that meets with the demand of a changing workplace. It is not limited to those working at a desk or with a PC as well as developing new skills.

This qualification is particularly suitable for those who are looking for employment or currently working in a number of areas including:

·         Office Managers, Customer Service Advisors, Administrators, Team Leaders and Sales Advisors.
