Course overview

The units in the NOCN Award in IT Level 1 aims to equip individuals with the IT user skills needed for full participation in employment. The qualification recognises the employers needs for ICT qualifications that reflect real world skills and challenges of the workplace environment.

Course requirements

There are no course requirements for this course. You will receive an interview from a member of the ICT Team. Please ensure you bring a minimum of a 20% deposit when you come to enrol.

What will I do?

A variety of units that may include work processing, use of the internet, mobile and IT devices, email and spreadsheets.

What will it give me?

The course will help you achieve an Award in Information Technology L1, that you can upgrade to a Certificate or Diploma at a later date. It will help to develop skills and employment opportunities and the ability to progress onto a level 2 course in IT.

Materials needed

A4 file and general stationary.

What can I do when I finish?

Progress internally to higher level qualifications in IT depending upon achievement, attendance and motivation.
