Course overview

Building on foundations from level 1, whilst studying the Diploma in Beauty Therapy L2 you will learn and practice the skills needed to be successful in your career, whether this becoming a mobile therapist, working in a salon, or working in the make-up industry. This course is available on a Full Time or Part Time basis. Part time is taught over 1 evenings or 1 day per week, the Full time course is ran over 3 days per week. You will also be required to do a placement on a Full Time Course only.


Course requirements

A good understanding of maths and English, Four GCSE's A-D and an informal interview.


What will I do?

Whilst undertaking the Diploma in Beauty Therapy L2, You will be able to practice your skills in our purpose built salons gaining valuable work experience and cover topics including: Working In Beauty Related Industries, Health & Safety, Client care & Communication, Promote products, Client Care and Communication, Salon Reception Duties, Facial Skincare, Waxing Techniques, Provide Manicures and Pedicures, Eyelash and Brow Treatments, Apply Make-up, Apply Tanning Techniques, Facial Care For Men.


What will it give me?

This programme aims to help you to develop the skills, knowledge and experience to gain a Level 2 qualification and to become a practising Beauty Therapist.


Materials needed

All students in the Hairdressing and Beauty department are required to wear a uniform and purchase their own beauty kit. Which is essential for all practical sessions.


What can I do when I finish?

You may want to progress onto Level 3 Beauty course or explore other courses we have to offer.
