Course overview

The Diploma in Beauty Therapy Techniques L3 will build on skills and topics learned at Level 2 and in addition will cover areas such as body massage, facial and body electrics, individual permanent lashes, application of stone therapy massage and micro-dermabrasion. This course will further enhance your practical and theoretical skills in Beauty Therapy preparing you for a career in the Beauty sector or enabling you to continue on to higher levels of study. This course is available on a Full Time or Part Time basis. Part time is taught over 2 evenings or 1.5 days per week, the Full time course is ran over 3 days per week. You will also be required to do a placement on a Full Time Course.

Course requirements

You must have Beauty Therapy Level 2 or have extensive salon experience. You will need a good understanding of maths and English. An informal interview and skills test will be required.

What will I do?

Whilst studying the Diploma in Beauty Therapy Techniques L3 you will be able practice your skills in our purpose built salons gaining valuable work experience and cover topics such as: Working in beauty related industries, Health & Safety, Client care and communication, Promote products and services, Body massage, Facial / Body Electrics, Individual permanent Lashes, Apply Stone Therapy massage, Micro-dermabrasion.

What will it give me?

This programme aims to help you to develop the skills, knowledge and experience to gain a Level 2 qualification and to become a practising Beauty Therapist. It will also give you a L3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy Techniques

Materials needed

All students in the Hairdressing and Beauty department are required to wear a uniform and purchase their own Beauty kit which forms are available from the College. (Support may be provided). Essential for all practical sessions.
