Course overview

This Higher Level Apprenticeship programme is suitable for those working as office managers, administration team leaders, personal assistants or business development executives, and who have significant experience of working in a business environment. The apprenticeship is designed to develop management, leadership and employability skills, which are all essential for the workplace.


Course requirements

This qualification is available to anyone who is capable of reaching the required standards and meeting the assessment criteria for the units through their particular job role. You will need to hold maths and English qualifications at Level 2. This course is fully funded if it is your first Level 4 qualification.


What will I do?

Higher Level Apprenticeship in Business and Administration includes: NVQ Level 4 Diploma in Business and Administration Technical Certificate Level 4 Diploma in Business and Administration Functional Skills Maths Level 2 Functional Skills English Level 2 Functional Skills ICT Level 2 Units: The apprenticeship is made up of mandatory units which cover the essential skills required for working within a business environment. There are then a variety of optional units to choose from which focus on the specific tasks you carry out within your role which could include: Making decisions Negotiating Managing operational plans Solving problems Managing meetings/events Using IT Managing information and data Managing business resources Leadership and management What will it give me? What can I do when I finish?

Achievement of the Higher Apprenticeship proves competency in you work based skills and ability to apply knowledge to work based tasks. This will support future job applications within this area. On successful completion of the Higher Apprenticeship programme, you will be given advice and guidance about opportunities for further study. You could consider progression to the Foundation Degree by topping up to the BA (Hons) in Business, Strategy and Management.
