Course overview

This HND qualification has been developed specifically to meet the needs of individuals who would like to develop careers in Business Management.

HNDs are well-respected by universities and employers. They offer a less costly alternative to a traditional university route as you can complete a top-up year at university to obtain a business or business management degree.

Our HND in Business formalises the knowledge you already possess and improves your career prospects, helping you develop your career in management. The course is offered on a full or part-time basis.

The full-time course runs over four half days per week plus self-study time over a two-year period. The part-time course runs on one evening per week plus one Saturday per month over a period of approximately two years.

Course requirements

Entry is by interview and initial assessment.

Learners who have recently left education are likely to have a Level 3 qualification such as a BTEC National Certificate or Diploma in Business Studies, Hospitality Supervision or a similar discipline, A Level qualification, or an Access to Higher Education Certificate.

Learners on this programme coming from business will have a good deal of knowledge and experience which enables them to relate to and understand business practices. It is likely that these students will present a varied profile in terms of past achievement and may not necessarily have the Level 3 qualification usually expected from someone joining the programme direct from education.

Supporting GCSE's including English and maths.
