Course overview

Our HND in Computing is 2 year  full time programme which will help you secure the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to succeed in the workplace.

It will help you develop as a professional, self-reflecting individual able to meet with the demands of employers in the computing sector and be able to adapt to a constantly changing world.

It will equip you with computing skills, knowledge and the understanding necessary to achieve high performance in the global computing environment.

It will provide education and training for a range of careers in computing, including network engineering, software engineering, data analytics, security, intelligent systems and applications development. 


Course requirements

Entry requirements include one of the following: A Level 3 qualification in Computing or A levels in a related subject Access to HE certificate Related work experience All students must have at least a Grade 4/5 in GCSE maths and English or equivalent.


What will I do?

The level 5 HND consists of the units achieved previously on the level 4 HNC plus an additional 120 credits at level 5, these include topics such as computer research project, business intelligence systems, website design and development, application development and game design theory.

Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computing

Basic stationary and up to date texts.


What can I do when I finish?

It offers a specialist pathway designed to offer progression into relevant occupational areas or on to a degree-level study. These pathways are linked to Professional Body standards and vendor accredited certification and can provide professional status and progression to direct employment.
