0.4 English Teacher – 15 hours per week – Permanent position from 27 August 2019

Harmonised Pay Scale Points 15-35 (£18,404 – £33,033 per annum) 

This position is to be based within the Durham Gateway area of the College, which is a specialist department working with pre-16 students who are studying an alternative provision route.

Bishop Auckland College is seeking to recruit an English Teacher who will be responsible for making a significant contribution to teaching across the curriculum especially the core subject of English, and delivering high quality teaching and learning, ensuring successful student outcomes.

The successful candidate will have at least a level 3 qualification in English, a Certificate in Education (or be willing to work towards within 2 years); a level 2 qualification in Numeracy and Safeguarding Level 1 (to be achieved within 6 weeks).

Applicants will also have recent experience of teaching and recent sustained good or outstanding judgements within lesson observations (or have the ability to prove this in the interview process).
