Estates & Facilities Assistant/ Workshop Technician based at South West Durham Training

South West Durham Training is seeking to recruit an Estates & Facilities Assistant/ Workshop Technician who will be responsible for providing an efficient and effective Estates and Facilities service to internal and external customers   and to provide effective day to day functions and running of engineering workshops through the guidance of the Operations Manager.

The successful candidate will have Safeguarding Level 1 (to be achieved within 6 weeks), Level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy (or be willing to work towards within 2 years) and a 3-day First Aid at Work certificate (or willing to work towards within 6 months), Level 3 Qualification in Engineering / Manufacturing related discipline and have knowledge or a qualification in at least one other discipline.


Applicants will also have recent and relevant experience of working in a similar environment and of working with young people particularly those with challenging behavioural issues, experience of working in the engineering manufacturing sector within a maintenance role, planning preventative maintenance and consumable and stock control.
