Part Time Teacher in Catering & Hospitality

Job Title: Part time Teacher – Catering & Hospitality variable hours –Temporary position until July 2019

Grade: £22.28 per hour (Un-Qualified), £23.63 per hour (Qualified)

Hourly rate includes annual leave entitlement

Bishop Auckland College is seeking to recruit a Part Time Teacher in Catering & Hospitality who will be responsible for the effective and efficient teaching and coordination of courses within the relevant Faculty area.

The successful candidate will have Safeguarding Level 1 (to be achieved within 6 weeks), Level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy (or willing to work towards within 2 years), L2 in Catering/Cookery or relevant subject area, a current L2 in Food Safety( or willing to work towards within 6 weeks) and a Certificate in Education (or willing to work towards within 2 years). Level 2 qualification in nutrition & Health would be desirable.

Applicants will also have knowledge & skills of healthy cooking and nutrition, experience of teaching on a range of catering/ hospitality courses and have recent sustained good or outstanding judgements and lesson observations (or have the ability to prove this in the interview process).
