Youth Worker

Harmonised Pay Scale fixed point 15 (£18,684 pro rata)

 Bishop Auckland College is seeking to recruit a Youth Worker who will be responsible for supporting young people, predominantly in the 16-19 age group, to ensure that they stay in learning and achieve positive outcomes.  The main focus will be the young peoples’ personal, social, cultural and educational development.

The successful candidate will have a Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject area, Safeguarding Level 1 (to be achieved within 6 weeks) and Level 2 qualifications in Literacy and Numeracy (or be willing to work towards within 2 years).

Applicants will also have experience of engaging with young people.
