If you're passionate about art and bringing your unique ideas to life, a course in Art and Design is your perfect creative playground. Course requirements

No formal entry requirements needed apart from a flair for drawing and painting.

What will I do?

As part of the Certificate in Art and Design L1 you will undertake two mandatory units: - Experiment with art and design ideas and techniques - Complete a final art and design project Plus two other units. As well as the practical portfolio there are written assignments and tasks to complete. The course is three days (extra days and evenings around the gallery times) where you will be studying your main qualification, maths and English at GCSE level (only if you do not have an A-C or 4-9 Grade).

What will it give me?

This course will give you a Level 1 Certificate in Art and Design.

Materials needed

Art equipment as stated on interview, A5 - A3 portfolio and basic stationery.

What can I do when I finish?

If you have successfully completed this course with good grades and attendance you will be interviewed for the Level 2 Diploma in Art and Design.
