Financial Support for Hiring an Apprentice
In addition:
- Smaller employers may be eligible for government funding covering 95% to 100% of training costs
- Large employers can fund training through their apprenticeship levy
- You may be eligible for a £1,000 government grant when taking on an apprentice (eligibility criteria apply)

Foundation Apprenticeships at Bishop Auckland College
Foundation Apprenticeships offer a practical, flexible way to support young people into the workforce while helping to develop future talent in your business. These programmes combine college learning with real-world experience, designed to build confidence, employability and core skills.
By offering a placement, you’ll play a vital role in shaping early careers and may be eligible for up to £2,000 per Foundation Apprentice (subject to retention and progression).
