Durham Gateway’s Curriculum
At Durham Gateway, students follow a balanced program combining academic qualifications, vocational studies, and essential life skills development.
Our specialist provision helps young people build a pathway toward future success, fostering their personal growth and employability through bespoke support and enrichment activities.
Academic Studies (GCSEs)
Gateway students continue working toward GCSE qualifications in English Language, Mathematics, and Science. Delivered in small groups with tailored academic support, lessons take place in a friendly, informal environment where students are known by name and benefit from a more flexible timetable.
With no requirement for uniforms and greater personal support, learning becomes more engaging and student-centred.
