Course overview

This Level 2 qualification gives learners the opportunity to investigate the knowledge and skills needed to use counselling skills and how to use them effectively in a helping relationship.

Course requirements

You must be minimum age of 19. Ideally you will have completed the Introduction to Counselling course (or equivalent)?

What will I do?

Modules include: Using counselling skills Introduction to counselling skills theories Diversity and ethics in the use of counselling skills Counselling skills and personal development

What will it give me?

You will gain an understanding and awareness of the communication and interpersonal skills needed to form effective relationships to help others. The course is flexibly designed to be delivered either via weekly face to face sessions in college or via hybrid learning in your workplace (minimum number applies). Materials needed

Lever arched file, file dividers, poly pockets and pens and paper.

What can I do when I finish?

You can progress onto the Level 3 Diploma in Counselling Skills.
