What will I do?
Obelisk Planters You'll start by learning the basic structure and techniques for shaping willow into strong, decorative obelisks. Step-by-step guidance will help you weave the framework, secure the joints, and create a planter that supports climbing plants or stands as a garden feature. Basket Weaving Next, you'll master fundamental basket weaving skills such as preparing willow rods, creating the base, and weaving the sides. You'll practice patterns and tension control to make sturdy, beautiful baskets suitable for practical or decorative use. Research and Planning Outcomes Before beginning your final project, you'll engage in research and planning. This involves exploring traditional and contemporary willow weaving designs, selecting materials, sketching your ideas, and setting goals for your final creation to develop a clear, achievable plan. Final Willow Creation Combining your new skills and planning, you will design and complete a final willow project of your choice.
