Course overview

Build on your existing fabrication and welding knowledge and develop advanced skills for the modern engineering industry. You'll enhance your understanding of CAD, CNC programming and engineering design, while gaining experience producing both 2D and 3D drawings and operating CNC machinery. You'll also explore areas including Quality Control, Maintenance and Communication, preparing you for advanced study, an apprenticeship or employment within the welding industry.

Course requirements

Four GCSEs at grade 4 or above or equivalent, including English or maths.

What will it give me?

An EAL Diploma in Engineering Technologies at Level 3, specialising in Fabrication and Welding.

Materials needed

Relevant PPE will be provided. Your tutor will inform you of any further materials or equipment you may need for the course.

What can I do when I finish?

You could progress to advanced study, a relevant apprenticeship or employment within the welding industry.
