Course overview

This advanced programme is the natural progression from Level 2 Nail Technology or an equivalent Level 2 nail qualification. It is designed for learners who want to take their skills to the next level and become highly skilled, industry ready nail technicians. Throughout the course, you will master a wide range of advanced techniques, including Liquid & Powder (acrylic) enhancements, Hard Gel enhancements, E file skills, creative nail art, and 3D advanced nail design. Training takes place in our professional nail salon, giving you the chance to work with real clients and build confidence in a realistic working environment. The course is available full time or part time: - Part time learners attend one day or one evening per week. - Full time learners attend three days per week and complete a work placement, gaining valuable industry experience.

Course requirements

To enrol, you will need one of the following: - 4 GCSEs at grades 9-4 (A-C)* including English and Maths - A Level 2 qualification in a relevant subject area, such as: - Level 2 Nail Technology - Level 2 Beauty Therapy - Another equivalent Level 2 nail qualification

What will I do?

During the NVQ Level 3 Nail Services programme, you will develop advanced technical skills while gaining real salon experience. You will complete practical assessments, written tasks and assignments, all designed to prepare you for professional work. Key areas of study include: - Health and safety in the salon - Planning and delivering a promotional activity - Liquid & Powder (acrylic) nail extensions - Hard Gel nail extensions - E file techniques - Nail art and advanced 3D nail art - Working with clients in a commercial salon environment This combination of skills ensures you graduate with the confidence and expertise needed for high level nail work.

What will it give me?

By the end of the programme, you will have developed the skills, knowledge and professional behaviours required to work as a fully qualified nail technician. Successful learners will achieve the NVQ Level 3 in Nail Services, a respected qualification recognised across the beauty and nail industry.

All students must have: - The department uniform - A professional nail kit, which can be purchased through the College These are essential for all practical sessions and assessments.
