Course overview

The Esports industry is currently demonstrating huge growth. This course has been designed to give students an insight into Esports and will develop the required skills and knowledge needed to work in this exciting industry. The qualification is endorsed by the British Esports Association as being suitable for students either wanting to work in the industry or wanting to develop many transferable skills. This one-year full-time course provides an introductory study of the sector, supporting progression to the level 2 course. The emphasis is on the development of skills needed to be successful in the Esport industry, including entrepreneurship, innovation, teamwork, communication, leadership skills, confidence building, decision-making, reaction times, reading comprehension skills, cyber skills, dexterity and concentration. Students who do not have English/Maths GCSE at C/4 will have the opportunity to study English and Maths alongside their programme.
