Caitlin worked incredibly hard on her course and achieved an amazing overall grade of A*. With the support of her tutor and Student Progression team in completing the process of applying to university, Caitlin was delighted to be offered a place on the BSc Criminology and Forensic Science course at Northumbria University Newcastle.
Caitlin said “I have loved my criminology course at Bishop Auckland College especially the CSI, crime theories and crime scene to court room units. My tutor was amazing with brilliant teaching and lots of opportunities to engage with employers and guest speakers from the sector which provided me with an excellent insight into this career path. My Progression Coach in the Student Progression team provided me with fantastic support with the UCAS application process and advice and guidance as to the content in my personal statement. My advice to young people is that A Levels are not always the only option. Completing a Level 3 diploma in my subject of interest really prepared me for my degree. I am loving my new uni course and can’t wait to start my career in CSI and forensic science!”
