Course overview

Not everyone can attend regular classes- Flexible Learning means you can study at times and locations to suit you. More and more people are choosing to study on a Flexible Learning course to improve their general employability skills. The courses can be offered in a venue within the community and built around your training requirements. All our tutors are specialists in their vocational area and offer exceptionally high quality one-to-one support. Whatever your background or experience, we believe there will be a programme of interest to you.

Funding eligibility criteria:

• Candidate must be aged 19 or over on 31 August of current year
• Candidates aged 19-23 must already hold a Full Level 2 Qualification
• Candidates must have resided in the EU for the past three years

Course requirements

Learners must have a genuine interest in their chosen subject. This qualification is suitable for anyone looking to increase their knowledge of children and young people’s mental health. It will be particularly useful for people working in an educational setting. Learners do not have to be in employment to enrol on this course.

What will it give me?

You will gain a thorough understanding of children and young people’s mental health. You will explore key themes such as resilience, self-esteem and body image, bullying and the pressures caused by social media. You will also learn about the most common mental health conditions that affect children and young people and the strategies that can be used to support individuals experiencing mental distress. On successful completion of the course, a Level 2 certificate will be awarded. A nationally recognised awarding body accredits the course
