Course overview

Not everyone can attend regular classes. Flexible Learning means you can study at times and locations to suit you. More and more people are choosing to study on a Flexible Learning course to improve their general employability skills. The courses can be offered in a venue within the community and built around your training requirements. Funding eligibility criteria:

· Candidate must be aged 19 or over on 31 August of current year

· Candidates aged 19-23 must already hold a Full Level 2 Qualification

· Candidates must have resided in the EU for the past three years

Course requirements

Learners must have a genuine interest in their chosen subject. Whether it is in a personal or professional capacity. Learners do not have to be in employment to enrol on this course.

What will I do?

You will be required to complete 2 modules of study. These are: Module 1 Section 1 Principles of customer service in the hospitality sector. Section 2 Understand effective teamwork in the hospitality sector. Module 2 Section 1 Understand legislation and guidance relevant to the hospitality sector. Section 2 Understand professional personal standards in the hospitality sector. Learners are required to complete assessments that are based upon the information and activities within the learning materials provided. There is no end test or multiple-choice exam for this course.

What will it give me?

By following this programme, learners will be able to develop their knowledge and understanding about the legislation required in the hospitality sector in customer service roles, and will consider the reasons for legislation and the importance and benefits of ensuring it is followed. The importance of your own appearance and having a positive attitude when working in a customer service role. successful completion of the course a Level 2 certificate will be awarded. The course is accredited by a nationally recognised awarding body.
