Course overview

This qualification is aimed at learners who are interested in becoming a Retrofit Advisor within the Construction industry. It is also aimed at upskilling existing employees within the Construction industry.

This qualification is also suitable for tradespeople who desire to develop or improve their knowledge of retrofit in the construction industry.

It is also for those without retrofit experience (electricians, joiners, plumbers, plasterers, bricklayers etc) who may wish to work in the related field of retrofit professional roles such as a retrofit assessor.

*There are no remission of fees on the Full Cost course.

Course requirements

A qualification within the construction industry i.e. Bricklaying, Carpentry & Joinery would be beneficial.

What will I do?

This qualification covers aspects key to a Retrofit Advisor – including sustainability and climate change. Learners will also study the science and process of Retrofit installation, which includes communication and health and safety aspects pertinent to a Retrofit Advisor.

Students will develop their knowledge of retrofit in practice (PAS 2035) and how these impact on the installation and preparation for a property retrofit system.

What will it give me?

The Retrofit Advisor qualification supports progression for learners looking to progress further into the roles of Retrofit Assessor and Retrofit Coordinator. The skills developed through this qualification are also transferable into other construction areas.
