Course overview

This pre-practitioner qualification is for learners who have already acquired a recognised qualification in counselling skills and want to take the next step in training to become a counsellor.

Course requirements

You must be minimum age of 19. Certificate in Counselling Skills or equivalent academic qualification and experience of using Counselling Skills.

What will I do?

Modules include: Develop Counselling Skills, Theoretical approaches in the use of Counselling Skills, Working ethically with Counselling Skills, Counselling Skills and diversity, Counselling skills and personal development.

What will it give me?

You will gain an understanding and awareness of the communication and interpersonal skills needed to effectively be with another person as well as a theoretical knowledge in Counselling approaches and personal and professional development.

Materials needed

Lever arched file, file dividers, poly pockets and pens and paper.

What can I do when I finish?

You can porgress onto BA (Hons.) Integrative Counselling Practice.
