The Early Years Educator Qualification is the must have qualification. It is for all those wanting to work with children from birth to five years of age. This CACHE Level 3 diploma will show that you have been trained to the highest standards.
Minimum 4 GCSE’s at grades 9 - 4 (A* - C) or equivalent, including a C or above in Maths and English, or a Level 2 qualification in a relevant subject area. A clear criminal record check by the Disclosure and Barring Service.
A college t-shirt to be worn in work placement. A CACHE Diploma Level 3 text book.
What can I do when I finish?
You could progress internally with foundation degree Levels 4 and 5
depending upon achievement, attendance and motivation or progress to university
and higher education depending on grades and UCAS points.
You will also have employment opportunities such as working in child and family centres, community, day and hospital nurseries, child-minding, nanny work and children’s play supervision for holiday companies. Early Years Educators may also work in primary schools to support the work of teachers, become special needs assistants and playgroup and pre-school leaders.

What will I do?
A two year course, the content of which is divided into four themes:
- Health & well-being
- Legislation, Frameworks & Professional Practice
- Play, Development & Learning for school readiness
- Professional Development.
Work experience includes a minimum of 730 placement hours (two days a week). Assessment of skill competency will take place in the real working environment across three different age ranges 0-5 years old.
What will it give me?
This EYE qualification will provide you with a licence to practise and the status of being an Early years Educator. It will also give you a Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Education & Care.
