Diploma in Nail Services L2

Course overview

Whilst studying the NVQ2 in Nail Services you will learn and practice the skills needed to be successful in your career, whether this becoming a mobile nail technician, working in a salon, or working in the nail industry.

This course is available on a part time basis. Part time is taught over one day per week and will consist of theory and practical client based sessions.

Course requirements

Minimum 4 GCSE’s at grades 3 - 2 (D - E) or equivalent, including a D in Maths and English, or a Level 1 qualification in a relevant subject area.

What will I do?

Whilst undertaking the NVQ2 Nail Services, you will be able to practice your skills in our purpose built nail salon gaining valuable work experience and cover topics including:

• Health and Safety
• Reception Duties
• Pomote Products & Services
• Effectiveness at Work
• Manicure
• Pedicure
• Gel Nail Extensions
• Nail Art

What will it give me?

This programme aims to help you to develop the skills, knowledge and experience to gain a Level 2 qualification and to become a practising Nail Technician.

Materials needed

All students in the Hairdressing and Beauty department are required to wear a uniform and purchase their own nail kit, which is essential for all practical sessions.
