Course overview

Whilst studying the Level 2 Diploma in Hair and Media Make up, you will learn and practice the skills needed to be successful in your career, whether this becoming a mobile therapist, working in a salon, or working in the makeup industry. This programme covers all the essential skills of make-up and hair for the fashion, TV & film industry.

This course is available on a part time basis. Part time is taught over one day per week.

What will I do?

Whilst undertaking the Level 2 Diploma in Hair and Media Make up, you will be able to practice your skills in our purpose built salons gaining valuable work experience and cover topics including:

• Beauty related industries
• Health and safety
• Client care and communication
• Apply make-up
• Provide eyelash and eyebrow treatments
• Create an image
• Art of photographic make-up
• Body art design
• Apply skin tanning
• Art of colouring hair
• Art of dressing hair
• Make and style hair addition

What will it give me?

This programme aims to help you to develop the skills, knowledge and experience to gain a Level 2 qualification .

Materials needed

All students in the Hairdressing and Beauty department are required to wear a uniform and purchase their own kit, which is essential for all practical sessions.

What can I do when I finish?
