Twelve lucky students on three week Italian job
Twelve BAC students are on an Italian job for the next three weeks as they learn new skills in Salerno.
They are on a variety of work placements in the port city, located in the south west of the country, relevant to their courses.
Art and design students Daria Dziubenko and Keira Hind will be assistants at the Galleria d’arte Perrotta, while catering and hospitality learners Abigail Oliver and Joshua Foster are working at ristorantino Papilla Felix.
Seven early years students have placements shared between four schools - Asilo (pre-school) Mary Poppins, Asilo Nido Collodi, Piccole Orme and Babalu – while Brendan Singlewood has a sports placement.
A trip to Pompeii
The 12 have been joined by tutors Leanne Jones and Richard Vart who are offering support throughout the trip, funded via the Government’s Turing Scheme which enables students to access international opportunities in education and training.
