About Butterwick Hospice

For 40 years, Butterwick Hospice has provided compassionate, holistic care to children, adults, and their families living with life-limiting illnesses across Teesside and County Durham. Founded by Mary Butterwick OBE, the hospice offers physical, mental, and emotional support through its three locations. The charity prioritizes the well-being of patients and their families, making each day the best it can be. This vital work is made possible by the generous support of the local community, continuing Mary’s legacy of care and compassion that began in 1984.
