Construction students get a handle on site management

Construction learners got a handle on site management and contractor skills during a series of site visits.

The painting and decorating, carpentry and joinery and construction skills students visited Belmont Community School, Catterick Garrison and Sunderland Culture House last week.

The Open Doors site visits are part of a national initiative designed to give learners an insight into industry and how a site works, from the role of the Site Manager to those of the contractors including bricklayers, joiners and ground workers.
