Who are South West Durham Training?
South West Durham Training Limited (SWDT) was founded in 1967 to provide training for local manufacturing and engineering companies predominantly around the Newton Aycliffe and Darlington areas. We are based in large, modern, purpose built premises in Newton Aycliffe and have a comprehensive, fully equipped training centre to provide first class industry led training.
With links to major road networks, students can easily take advantage of their free bus pass to travel to us. We are in the perfect location to help you start your career.

What courses could I study?
We have a course at SWDT regardless of your previous experience of Engineering or Plumbing. If you have studied engineering at GCSE level, you might be able to go directly onto our Level 3 A-Level equivalent course! If not, we have other courses designed to build up your skills first.
