What courses could I study?
We have a course at BAC regardless of your previous experience of Health and Social Care. If you have studied it at GCSE level, you might be able to go directly onto our Level 3 A-Level equivalent course! If not, we have other courses designed to build up your skills first.
What facilities would I have access to?
Students will be able to learn in our practical care room, which features a hospital side ward and assisted bathroom. This provides a real working environment where practical activities can be completed as they would be in a work environment. Students will also have access to a virtual reality simulator, providing learners with the chance to learn about the human body through interactive experiences.
What trips could I go on?
Students will take part in a range of off-site team building activities and lessons. A planned trip to Thackray Medical Museum in Leeds will allow students to look at individuals, both past and present, who have dedicated
themselves to saving lives and caring for others.
Students also attend the annual North East UCAS fair to gain an insight into the range of exciting university courses they could progress onto after they've finished their qualification.
