Course overview
Building on foundations from Level 1, whilst studying the Diploma in Beauty Therapy Level 2 you will learn and practice the skills needed to be successful in your career, whether this becoming a mobile therapist, working in a salon, or working in the makeup industry.
This course is available on a full time or part time basis. Part time is taught over one evening or one day per week. You will also be required to do a placement on a full time course.

Course requirements
Minimum 4 GCSE’s at grades 3 - 2 (D - E) or equivalent, including a D in Maths and English, or a Level 1 qualification in a relevant subject area.
What will I do?
Whilst undertaking the Diploma in Beauty Therapy Level 2, you will be able to practice your skills in our purpose built salons gaining valuable work experience and cover topics including:
- Working in beauty related industries
- Health and safety
- Client care and communication
- Product promotion
- Client care and communication
- Salon reception duties
- Facial skincare
- Waxing techniques
- Manicures and pedicures
- Eyelash and brow treatments
- Make-up skills
- Tanning techniques
- Facial care for men
What will it give me?
This programme aims to help you to develop the skills, knowledge and experience to gain a Level 2 qualification and to become a practising Beauty Therapist.
Materials needed
All students in the Hairdressing and Beauty department are required to wear a uniform and purchase their own beauty kit, which is essential for all practical sessions.
