Bishop Auckland College is seeking to recruit a Part Time Teacher in a vocational subject to work with high needs learners 1 day a week (Wednesday).

They will be responsible for the planning and delivery of effective and efficient teaching within courses in the high needs area. The successful candidate will be required to possess Certificate in Education (or be willing to work towards within 2 years), a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject, Safeguarding Level 1 (to be achieved within 6 weeks), Level 2 in Literacy (or willing to work towards within 2 years) and Level 2 in Numeracy (or willing to work towards within 2 years). It is desirable but not essential that the candidate will also possess an IT qualification, Level 2 Equality & Diversity, Degree, Level 3 Assessors Certificate, Level 4 Internal Quality Assurance/Internal Verification and QTLS.

The successful candidate with have experience of teaching SEN learners on a range of courses within post 16. This role will include responsibilities within safeguarding and the postholder will be engaging in regulated activity.
